Pikes Peak Prep Math Day with Sky Sox!

Mr. George Antone, a Math teacher at Pikes Peak Prep took his 5th and 6th grade students to Math Day with the Sky Sox. Sky Sox is a fun way to teach kids about baseball and a fun way for them to see how math is related to baseball. This is the second year he has taken the students. Mr. Antone took 6th grade last year, this year he took both 5th and 6th grades since he instructs both groups. The Colorado Springs Sky Sox baseball team (Colorado Rockies-Farm Team) has a MATH DAY (actual 3 days) each spring. This fun filled field trip will provide students, teachers, and chaperones the opportunity to not only see their favorite players in action at Security Service Field, but also receive an interactive math lesson, access to Math Day questions and a ballpark experience of a lifetime.
