Barbara Winter joined Ent Federal Credit Union in 2001.  As Executive Vice President, she is responsible for executive oversight of Human Resources, Payroll, Training, and the Real Estate and Facilities Divisions of Ent and coordinates community philanthropy.  She joined Ent after a 28-year career with Colorado Interstate Gas Company, where she last held the position of Assistant Vice President, Human Resources and Administration.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Colorado State University.

In addition to Pikes Peak Prep, her community activities include:  Board member of the Chancellor’s Leadership Class @ the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs; Board member of the Penrose-St. Francis Health Foundation; Board Member – Discover Goodwill of Southern & Western Colorado; Board Member Emeritus of the Pikes Peak Council – Boy Scouts of America; a member of Artemis, and a chapter member of Executive Women International.  She is also a member of the credit union industry CUNA HR/TD Council. 

She is a past board member and Chairman – Pikes Peak United Way;  past board member of the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce, Silver Key Senior Services, Girl Scouts Wagon Wheel Council, Western Museum of Mining and Industry, and Metro Board of the Pikes Peak YMCA (currently serves on the Human Resources Committee).  She also served as a member/chair of The Colorado College Corporate and Business Advisory Committee.

She is the 2002 recipient of the Athena Award from the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce. She was a six-year member and past president of the Colorado State University Alumni Association. She is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership Community Leaders program.

 Barbara is married to David Carpenter and they have one college-age daughter, Shelby, who is attending the University of Denver.

Board Meeting Dates

Board Meetings are from 5:30 –7:00 p.m. School administration is required to attend; staff and community members are invited and welcome. Meetings are usually held at the school. Board meeting dates (subject to change by the Board president):
