Brandon Meyer grew up in Hastings Nebraska, a small town whose sole claim to fame is that Kool-Aid was invented there. Since moving to Colorado, he worked several years in the telecommunications industry, primarily in technical support positions, before deciding to try his luck at teaching English over-seas in China (an experience that awakened a long dormant passion for education). Upon returning, Brandon enrolled at Pikes Peak Community College and obtained an Associate’s degree in Liberal Arts. Shortly thereafter, he enrolled at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs and finished the long process of deciding on a major. Brandon’s time at UCCS proved to be some of the happiest and most productive of his life. Not only did he get married, but he also had the opportunity to co-author two published works: a book chapter and an academic journal article, with one of his professors. He then presented some of his own work at a Sociology conference in Portland, Oregon. In May of 2015, Brandon graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, along with a minor in Sociology.

Brandon has been working at Pikes Peak Prep since January of 2016 as a part-time math tutor. Currently, he is extremely excited to be working as a full-time learning coach. In his spare time, he enjoys binging on Netflix videos with his wife, and has recently begun hunting Pokémon while walking their dog together. He is also an avid video game player (PS4), Twitch streamer, reader, anime fan, and occasionally enjoys hiking or skiing with his friends.
